Week of May 15, 2005. Well, I am playing catchup here. This whole week was devoted to getting ready to go on vacation. Between all that you have to do for home, work, and around the house, I didn't have too much time to do anything else. Music downloaded to the iPod for the trip: "Scream & Whisper" by Edwin McCain and "In Between Dreams" by Jack Johnson. Great music! Favorites already: "Farewell to Tinkerbell" on "Scream & Whisper" and "Banana Pancakes" on "In Between Dreams".

Though, I did take one bike ride after work one day. We went back out to Bent Creek and rode for about a hour and a half. A very good long way with a couple of tough hills. Especially after working all day. I slept like a log. I didn't wake up at all, and I always wake up at night. I loved that! Below: Row 1 pictures are Pink Lady Slipper's and Row 2 pictures are Showy Orchis :

Pictures, I always take pictures when I go riding. Or else you would miss some great stuff. Like riding up Owl Ridge and seeing lots of Pink Lady Slippers blooming! I have never seen them before, and I almost wrecked the bike when I spotted them. They are a native wild orchid and beautiful! And then we spotted some Showy Orchis blooming. Another native orchid. I was almost beside myself. (What a geek...) ;)

Well, then I went on vacation. And that is next weeks update. I hope to have that update this weekend too.
